The city grabbed national attention by hosting the MLB All-Star Game and the Great Lakes Tall Ships Festival, while simultaneously ranking sixth in the country for fastest wage growth — a signal that economic opportunity was keeping pace with quality-of-life improvements. The office market saw nearly 100,000 square feet of leasing activity as five notable tenants either relocated or reaffirmed their commitment to downtown. On the residential front, over 1,200 apartments were under construction along Historic Euclid Avenue to meet continued demand, and new homeownership options were expanding the range of ways people could put down roots downtown. A pilot program for shared mobility devices logged more than 127,000 rides, adding yet another layer to the city’s growing menu of transportation options.
