Transportation access was emerging as one of Downtown Cleveland’s strongest selling points heading into the close of 2015 \u2014 and the data backed it up. With the only light rail system in Ohio, the nation’s top-rated bus rapid transit line, and the most extensive free trolley network in the country, downtown offered the kind of multi-modal mobility that younger workers were actively seeking. That mattered more than ever, as research at the time showed four out of five millennials prioritized access to varied transportation options when choosing where to live. The results were showing up in the demographics: millennials made up more than half of downtown’s central business district population, and the Cleveland area ranked eighth in the nation for growth in college-educated millennial residents \u2014 putting it in the same company as Seattle and Miami.<\/p>\n
