Biography
Gianfranco Calabrese is a Sales Associate with Hanna Commercial Real Estate, specializing in retail tenant and landlord representation throughout Northeast Ohio.
A native of Mayfield Village on Cleveland’s east side, Gianfranco brings a lifelong familiarity with the region’s most active retail markets and submarkets to every client relationship.
Gianfranco graduated from the University of Cincinnati in May 2026 with a bachelor’s degree in finance. While at UC, he was a member of the University of Cincinnati Real Estate Association (UCREA), where he attended ICSC networking events, monthly industry roundtables, and the annual PNC Economic Outlook, building relationships with real estate professionals well before entering the field full-time.
Gianfranco’s path into the industry began with an insurance internship during his senior year of high school. Throughout college, he spent three years working as a construction foreman, leading crews on job sites — experience that gives him a practical, on-the-ground perspective on the properties he now represents, from build-out considerations to project timelines that most brokers only see from the outside. Heading into his senior year at UC, he interned with Hanna Commercial Real Estate, gaining direct exposure to retail leasing and brokerage operations — an experience that led directly to his full-time role with the firm upon graduation.
Gianfranco holds an active Ohio real estate license and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). He is now applying his finance background, hands-on construction experience, and firsthand knowledge of the Hanna Commercial platform to build his career in retail tenant and landlord representation.
