Biography
Five Decades of Experience. A Cabinet Full of Strategies.
Jim Watson is in his fifth decade as a practicing student of real estate. That career has given him something difficult to acquire through education alone: the perspective that comes from experiencing real estate from virtually every side of the table.
Over the course of his career, Jim has served as a buyer and seller consultant, sales manager, trainer, branch manager and C-level administrator. His experience encompasses commercial and investment real estate, agricultural land and facilities, earth-product mining sites, 1031 tax-deferred exchanges, residential real estate, new construction, auctions, REO and HUD properties, income-producing properties, and mergers and acquisitions facilitation.
That diversity is intentional and, for a client, extremely valuable.
Rather than approaching every transaction the same way, Jim draws upon decades of experience to look at opportunities from multiple perspectives—physical assets, investment returns, negotiation, financing, taxation, operations, market conditions and long-term objectives.

He believes that real estate is ultimately a people business—and that the best professionals don’t simply bring clients a transaction. They bring perspective, experience, options and a willingness to help clients find the strategy that best serves their objectives.

Jim’s studies include three Universities and numerous Real Estate Institutions. He has fulfilled the required hours of study earning five Professional Real Estate designations.
